Muscular Tissue

Muscular tissue is characterized by the common function, they can all contract or shorten. Like Connective tissue, Muscular tissue contains fibers but these fiber are specilized to contract. Typically there are many more fibers in Muscular tissue than in Connective tissue.0

***Note: Skeletal and Muscular tissues can look very similar, they both contain striations (small lines across the cell). Look for some distinguishing features to help you identify the two.
