Connective Tissue
Connective tissue is characterized by common features that all the tissues in this category share. They all contain three elements; fibers, matrix and cells. The fibers are what give some structure to the tissue, think of how the fibers in your clothing give different feelings depending on what fiber the clothing is made from. The matrix is the space in between the cells. This usually is filled with a liquid or non-living solid material (the filling depends on the tissue). The cells are the living component of the tissue. These cells will vary depending on the type of Connective tissue.
