Finding a Proctor

Students in the Genesee Region will be taking proctored tests at a Genesee Community College campus center. Those of you who are taking the course outside this region, or who are otherwise unable to take quizzes at Genesee Community College, will need to find a proctor willing to administer the three tests and the optional final exam.

Simply put: you will need to identify someone in your area who can serve as a proctor. We will communicate with and send exams to that person. A librarian, teacher, or other educational personnel, to whom you're not related and to whom we can mail exams, would be an appropriate choice for a proctor.

The proctor's responsibilities include receiving tests from the instructor, administering the tests (approximately 60-90 minutes in length) and returning the tests to the instructor via U.S. Mail.

Your proctor must work at a Library or Educational Facility. Tests must be administered at the proctor's place of employment during regular business hours. We have had quite a bit of success with individuals volunteering from local school districts and libraries.

If you find an individual willing to serve as your proctor for this course, please have this proctor fill out this form and return it to me at least seven (7) days prior to the deadline of first quiz.

In the meantime, but at least two weeks before the deadline of the first quiz, please send me the following information: the proctor's name, email address, name and address of business or institution, and a phone number.
