Genesee Community College Foundation scholarships recognize academic excellence, make higher education accessible to all students, and promote economic vitality in the Genesee-Livingston-Orleans-Wyoming region:
Excellence. Many scholarships recognize and encourage academic excellence in the classroom by providing financial support to academically talented students.
Access. Scholarships, often used in conjunction with financial aid, help provide a Genesee Community College education to all qualified students living in Genesee, Livingston, Orleans, and Wyoming counties, regardless of their ability to afford a college education.
Economic Vitality. Many scholarships promote study in fields critical to the economic growth of our region.
On the following pages, please carefully provide us with the requested information:
Your personal information such as address and phone number.
The scholarships for which you wish to apply.
An essay detailing your academic achievement, involvement in co-curricular and community activities, your
career aspirations and other qualifications for the scholarships for which you are applying.
Note: you may need to gather signatures for certain scholarships. A link to a signature form will be provided.
Schedule for filing of applications:
Applications for the following fall semester must be received by the Financial Aid Office between January 1 and
March 1. Applications received between March 1 and July 1 may be accepted if funding remains available. These
awards are for two semesters (fall and spring). If your enrollment is anticipated as fall only, please so indicate.
Applications for the following spring semester only must be received between October 1 and December 1.
