Biographical Information

I am a native of Western New York and hold an Associates Degree in Travel & Tourism from Herkimer County Community College, as well as a Bachelors Degree in Travel Management from the Rochester Institute of Technology. I spent time studying International Business at Sheffield Hallum University in Sheffield, England before pursuing my Masters Degree in Service Management from RIT.

My industry experience is extensive and varied - including positions with major hospitality and travel companies such as Sheraton Hotels, Carlson Wagonlit Travel and American Express One Travel Services. I have worked in corporate and leisure travel, meeting and event planning, group travel, hotel management and guest services, as well as destination marketing in Livingston County, New York.

My career and education have lead to extensive travel in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, the United States and the Caribbean. I enjoy cruising, meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. I try to inspire this passion in my students while acting as the faculty advisor to Genesee’s Travel Club

I was recently awarded the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and have a true desire to inspire students to find careers that they love, as I have.
